LOVE THE BUS!!!

From the Webmaster:
Earlier today I wrote about my frustration with the coverage of the Super Bowl, but now that it is all said and done I want to share my feelings about tonights victory... Since 2004 NJ Tailgater has invested alot in the New York Giants, and although it wasn't always pretty we stood by our team. Through all the bad times, the bad weather, I am referring to the Philly game and the monsoon that had us locked down in the bus drawing straws to see who would be the unlucky one to go out and re-start the generator every time it flooded out, and the good times, and now the great times. We never gave up on our boys in blue and tonight all the heartburn and hangovers were justified. The N.Y. Giants did the impossible, they destroyed the dynasty. The team that first weren't expected to make it into the playoffs and then not expected to make it past the first round are now the WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! To our brothers in blue who are partying it up in Arizona tonight we at the bus want to say Thank You, THANK YOU For believing in yourselves as much as we believe in you, and we look forward to the celebration, and We look forward to next season...from all of us at Tailgater, to all of you, have a great spring and summer and we'll see you again in September.

(This opinion DOES reflect the opinion of N.J. Tailgater)

So this morning I woke up from a sound sleep all fired up to watch the 7 hours of pre-game for the super bowl. I took a shower, got dressed in my N.Y. Giants gear, threw some wings in the oven and cracked open a beer. I turned on Fox's super bowl pregame show expecting to see Howie, Terry. Jimmy, and J.B talking about some of the greatest moments in super bowl history, moments like the "Imaculate Reception" or footage of Vince Lombardi being carried off the field...but instead do you know what I saw? I saw Ryan Secrest standing on a red carpet interviewing Nick Lachey.....Nick Lachey...I will say it one more time, NICK LACHEY (for those of you that don't know who Nick Lachey is, he was a backstreet boy that married Jessica "Yoko" Simpson and then got dumped by her so she could move on to more fulfilling things like ruining the Dallas Cowboys) Following that was Jillian Reynolds doing a Super bowl Fashion report, I was in awe. When did the super bowl become about fashion and boy bands? When did the fashion report become more important than the injury report? Why has it become more important that we have to watch video clips from Paris Hilton's party instead of watching clips from when Don Shula coached the 1972 Miami Dolphins to a perfect season. Or better yet, instead of interviewing John Krasinski and talking about his new movie, how about interviewing Former Giants Super bowl quarterback Phil Simms and talking about how he prepared to play in his two super bowls. The super bowl is the one day of the year that a man can be a man and not be chastised by wife, girlfriend, or random crack whore that he picked up the previous night. Now it seems as though that was taken away from us. The super bowl used to be about the game, not about who is in attendance. Super Bowl Sunday used to be about all things masculine...BEER, WINGS, GRIDIRON VIOLENCE, BEER!!!! The only women that got on the field during the Super Bowl were the cheerleaders. If Jillian Reynolds wants to be a part of this game how about sticking her in some spanky shorts and a bra, give her a set of pom-poms and have her shake her ass with the rest of the fluff, and give us back our pre-game!
