Don't mourn for all those old rundown school buses; many end up at Giants Stadium as tailgate rigs. Chris Serson of Cranford is captain/head chef/bus owner/menu planner for a group of tailgaters in Lot 14A -- "between the Port-a-John and the Dumpster," Serson said helpfully. They have a Web site, www.njtailgater.com. Serson's wife bought the 1993 bus for his birthday. A mock license plate on the ceiling reads "Fuhgeddaboudit." Outside is a tiki head, nicknamed -- what else? -- Tiki Barber. Today's menu is restaurant-worthy: filet mignon wrapped in bacon, pork loin, center cut pork chops, London broil and beef ribs.
"We're very health conscious," Serson said.
